What I Offer

I am a qualifying psychotherapist with specialized training in art therapy. I work from a trauma-informed, anti-oppressive, and strengths-based framework in order to centre each client's needs and lived experiences.

My intention is to create a warm and welcoming therapeutic space where you can feel at ease to be yourself. I ground my practice within the belief that each person is the expert of their own life, and it is my role to empower them through their therapeutic journey. Together, we will investigate patterns, make sense of your thoughts and emotions, explore problem-solving strategies, and work towards changes that feel meaningful and aligned with your goals.

Art-making can be a supportive tool during our sessions, as it can help deepen opportunities for insight and reflection. It can also feel empowering to take control of your narrative by creating artwork that feels representative of your story. However – no art making experience is required to participate in art therapy. We will move at your pace and I'll be there to support you every step of the way, inviting art in whenever it feels right to do so. My role is not to judge or analyze anything you create in your artwork; I am here to be a witness to your process and collaborate with you so we can work to meet your goals as you define them.

I offer individual support to adults navigating:

  • Life transitions and identity exploration — including identifying your values and how you want to show up in the world

  • Relationship dynamics — such as identifying boundaries and practicing communication

  • Building tools for emotional regulation, stress, anxiety

  • Disordered eating and eating disorders — I have specalized training and experience in this area and collaborate with other medical professionals to ensure comprehensive care.

  • Supporting a loved one with an eating disorder — for family members, partners, and friends

  • Challenging perfectionism and self-criticism

  • Processing and living with grief and various types of loss

Modalities I draw from:

  • Internal Family Systems

  • Dialectical Behaviour Therapy

  • Multidiagnostic Eating Disorder – Dialectical Behaviour Therapy

  • Attachment-Based Therapy

  • Emotionally Focused Individual Therapy

  • Compassion Focused Therapy

  • Somatic-Based Techniques

  • Person-Centered Therapy

I believe that there is no one-size-fits-all approach to therapy. Every person is different, and our work will reflect that. I will always meet you where you are and tailor our sessions to support you in the ways that feel most helpful and meaningful to you. â€‹â€‹

About Me

I chose a career in therapy because I know how powerful self-reflection can be. When we’re given the space to pause, explore our inner world, and get clear on what truly matters to us, it can make a significant impact on how we choose to move through the world.

Through personal experience, I have come to understand how the creative process can offer access to parts of ourselves that feel challenging to reach. Sometimes, words just fall short, and it can be difficult to make sense of what we're experiencing through language alone — that is where art can step in.

Art-making can provide an alternative path to self-understanding; One that invites insight, emotional exploration, and a deeper connection to your inner world. During sessions, I love bringing in visual arts, poetry, creative writing, and music to support the process of self-discovery and expression.

My therapeutic approach is warm, empathetic, and collaborative. I believe you are the expert of your own life. My role is to support you — gently, curiously, and without judgement — while centring your lived experience, intuition, and inner wisdom. And yes, that wisdom is always there, even if it feels hard to access sometimes. We'll work together to uncover it.

And we’ll make room for laughter, too. Therapy can be hard work, but it doesn’t have to be heavy all the time. My hope is that we'll find a balance, while working towards impactful, lasting changes that feel meaningful to you.

It is a privilege to sit with people through all seasons of their lives - the joyful, the messy, the confusing, the hopeful, and everything in between. I feel lucky to do this work and to walk alongside people while they make meaning out of their stories and move towards healing.

Outside of my work as a therapist, you can find me exploring new walking trails with my dog, Stanley, creating dried flower arrangements, and using my experience as a barista to create new latte recipes.
